Mark Petri

Mark and his wife, Cat, along with their family live in Bailey, CO. They enjoy living in the foothills and all the Colorado wilderness has to offer.

Mark grew up in a historic neighborhood in Wauwatosa, WI. From an early age his interest in design and construction was evident. When in grade school he would spend his free time drawing floor plans and sketching ideas. He "remodeled" his room while in junior high. And, started working with a neighbor who was a contractor as a high school sophomore. Throughout his time at architecture school he worked with a local furniture store recreating custom sized furnishings and cabinets. He also worked as a carpenter with a few contractors.

During the early years, Mark's passion for quality and desire to know more about how things are built and what affects that had on design developed. Eventually Mark decided the best way to really get into all the aspects of design and construction he loved was to start his own company. In 1992 Mark established Petri Building and Design. With the help of one of his customers (a local graphic design company) he and a friend designed and printed his first logo and business cards. And, that was the beginning.
